Have You Feel the Ringer for SMG?
Sarah Michelle Gellar OK, are we able to be achieved using the whole "Buffy has returned!Inch business? Because honestly, Sarah Michelle Gellar's lengthy-looked forward to and monstrously over-blown go back to TV is really not Buffy.Last evening, the actress who slayed us and 1000's of vampires of the underworld go to the small screen after too lengthy away with Ringer, a brand new drama that shows some serious promise, in addition to some real room for improvement.Playing twins Body an ex-junkie away from home in the mob, another an uptight socialite - Gellar is just like she's have you been and it is so sweet doing in grown-up roles that do not involve creepy dead kids (The Grudge) or CGI dogs (Scooby-Doo). Because of an out-of-left-area tragedy, compounded with a second reveal in the hour's finish, trashy twin Bridget ended up sliding directly into her high-falutin' sis Siobhan's identity and discovering the glamorous existence could be just like slimy and treacherous as her past like a stripper having a smack problem. Girl can't win for losing. But hey, no Hellmouth, so this is a plus, right? It's soapy and twisty and that we love SMG a lot more than existence, however it just feels as though something's missing at this time. It can be the pilot am dour and joyless. It can be way too hard to think that Siobhan would cheat on her behalf hottie husband (Ioan Gruffud) or endure that shrill closest friend character.Or possibly it is simply that we are not accustomed to seeing Gellar on television with no marvelous snap of Joss Whedon's dialogue to intensify her sass. Anything, our desire for Gellar - and the thought of two Gellars in a single show - is deep enough to warrant a minimum of another look. What about you? Are you back for Ringer in a few days? And just how happy are you to view SMG back on television?Sign up to TV Guide Magazine today!
